Detox Week Day 2: The Passion of the Snakes

Well so far so good. I'm into my second day of detox and my body seems to be acting normally. Some possible side effects include furry tounges and spots according to the supplement bottle. I like that it just calls them spots and leaves it at that. Anyway nothing side effecty so far. I'm also sticking to the dietary suggestions. Yesterday I had a bag of lettuce with an olive oil based caeser dressing. The only no no I did was adding some parmesan cheese to the salad. I also had a few handfuls of nuts and dried blueberries. Today I discovered that whole wheat grains were okay and did some yolkless whole wheat egg noodles with some sauteed spinach and peanuts. Again my only cheat was a little parmesan on top. The toughest part so far has been after the eating because that's usually when I want a smoke or a glass of wine or beer.

Also wanted to talk a bit today about Snakes on a Plane for perhaps the last time. A lot of publications are calling the movie a failure commercially. While it's box office take was less then expected this weekend, it's already made half it's budget back. Plus this is a word of mouth movie that I predict will lead to big DVD sales which is where most flicks make their money these days. If you're Superman you might not be able to count on DVD to make the difference but for smaller films like SoaP and Clerks II (which has already turned a profit) DVD sales are the key factors these days. So don't let the media tell you SoaP is a failure and make sure to send your letters to Samuel L Jackson demanding the rhyming sequel...Snakes on a Train.
